Morphological study of channelized systems Geometrical approach
in: 2016 RING Meeting, ASGA
Abstract
In this article, surface and subsurface data such as seismic or bathymetric data are used to propose
geometrical parameterizations of continental and deltaic channelized systems. We analyze four
geometrical parameters (width, amplitude, wavelength, and tortuosity) and look for correlations between
these parameters, which could help to constrain channel modeling.
