Abstract

This article introduces a starting research project, which has the aim of developing new tools for distributed collaborative visualization and modeling applied to the geosciences. We give an overview of some of the issues to be considered, outline the next planned steps, and describe a first experiment for the development of a CORBA-based collaboration plugin for gOcad.
