Abstract
This paper introduces a new mathematical method for estimating geological facies within a reservoir while integrating a wide range of data associated to well logs and seismic attributes. This new method is based on the "Discrete Smooth Interpolation" method, abbreviated DSI, developed in the frame of the GOCAD project (See (Mallet, 1989; Mallet, 1992; Mallet, 1997)).
