Abstract
In this paper will be presented an object designed for fault properties modeling. This object will be used for modeling properties related to fluid exchange between fault blocks. Unlike other approaches, in which the fault properties are directly embedded in, closely associeted with, or created from a 3D corner point grid, which often leads to a lack of flexibility of the fault model, our method relies on texture mapping to model as accurately as possible the geometry of the fault and it does not depend on a single stratigraphic grid.
