Generation of dual grids constrained by geological boundaries

Abstract

In this paper, we propose an algorithm to compute the dual of a 2D/3D simplicial mesh. This algorithm respects as most as possible the boundaries of the primal, both internal and external ones. In combination with F. Lepage meshing tools [6, 5], this algorithm can be used to generate fully unstructured grids for flow simulators.
