Abstract

The objective of this paper is to address the problem of generating stochastic equiprobable distributions of the permeabilities in a fractured reservoir. The data consist of a set of permeabilities sampled along the well path plus indirect data derived from the seismic cube or from the geometry of the layers. Multivariate statistics are then used to compute an analog property to the permeabilities from the indirect data, and geostatistical methods are then used to compute simulations from the well data, guided by the analog property.
