Abstract
This article introduces the latest improvements we made for the restoration of geological structures in gOcad. The main change is the possibility to choose the parameters of the restoration by interpreting the geological information proposed by the Structural Model data architecture. This data model enables the complete knowledge of relationship between geological structures of the model and gives to the structural geologist the geometrical, topological and geological information he/she needs for a consistent balanced restoration. This enhanced restoration technique is one example of the utilization of the ”Fiber Technology” introduced in this gOcad Meeting.
