Abstract
A non supervised approach for integrating seismic data in 3D reservoir models, proposed in this paper, was applied on a large oil and gas field. This approach is based on a cluster analysis of sei smic attributes, followed by the geological interpretation of the obtained clusters. The interpretation is mainly derived from calibration of clusters with the reservoir characteristics at the wells locations. Sei smic data incorporation in the reservoir modeling allowed to represent the probable lithological and fluid facies distribution within the reservoir interval, what was not possible with supervised geostatistical methods due to the very limited weil control. The methodology is thus promising for other fields, particularly with the poor weil coverage of subject area.
