Webinar by Pauline Collon

Abstract:

Statistical metrics can be used to analyse the morphology of natural or simulated karst systems; they allow describing, comparing, and quantifying their geometry and topology. In 2017, we published a paper which discusses some metrics and presents their applications on more than 30 karstic networks mapped by speleologists. Since then, we have developed a new open-source Python code, called Karstnet, which now allows you to perform such analysis on your own data. In this short webinar, I will demonstrate how it works and I will recall the meaning of each metric.
