- Meet a community of experts in Numerical Geology
- Early access to all RING research outputs: articles, presentations, webinars, trainings, codes.
- Access to Consortium governance
- Collaboration opportunities
- Support student training and get recruitment opportunities
- Reuse RING technologies (executable and source code)
- Purchasing of SKUA-GOCAD licences:AspenTech (formerly Emerson-Paradigm) supports the RING-GOCAD Consortium by asking its academic SKUA-GOCAD clients to join the RING-GOCAD Consortium.
The community
Since the 80's, the research team has set up a vast community of experts in Numerical Geology and geomodeling. Joining the consortium provides a unique opportunity to connect with colleagues working on subsurface modeling in the energy industry, subsurface energy transition, mining industry, subsurface hazards, software vendors, and academia.
The interactions with sponsors include :
- The RING Meeting: Sponsors' delegates can freely access this annual conference, in which the RING Team presents its latest results and organizes training sessions. Sponsors are also welcome to share their advances in geomodeling and get feedback. The RING Meeting is a privileged moment to keep up-to-date, share ideas and experience, and to initiate new lines of research and development in subsurface modeling.
- Regular interactions: The RING Team regularly shares scientific content updates and announcements with its community. It is done through online webinars, a mailing list, and a Microsoft Teams forum devoted to sponsors.
- One to one interactions: RING Team researchers can organize private meetings (video-conferences or on-site visits) with sponsors to talk about topics of mutual interest and give presentations. Summer internships for students are also possible.
- Participation to RING creates lasting professional and friendly ties between sponsor representatives, students, which last much longer .
Every sponsor can access the RING sponsors' Microsoft Teams (please contact us) and subscribe to the mailing list using their business email address:

Sponsors' Material
The RING Team provides full access to any paper, data, code, video and presentation available on this website.
Please note that some of them are freely available to everyone, but most are available only to sponsors. Please contact us to request access which is given via the RING Sponsors' Team forum and the mailing list.
Sponsors have an early access to ideas and proof of concepts. Research results are presented first during the RING Meeting and then published in peer-reviewed papers. RING Meeting proceedings papers, presentation slides and recorded presentations are accessible to all sponsors.
RING research activities are supported by prototypes of software. During each annual meeting, the RING team proposes a training session where sponsors can follow tutorial exercises and demos. Data, executables and guidelines are then available online.
Source code can also be shared and integrated free of charge in proprietary products by industrial sponsors (see some see some industrialization examples examples).
Influencing geomodeling research
Being an industrial sponsor of the RING Team gives your organization a vote at the annual steering committee. Being part of the Consortium Governance gives you an edge and influence on the research topics towards the aspects most useful for your business, and offers your organization priviledged interactions to get the best value of your membership.
